The Bike Stop is Philadelphia's answer to the Leather Bar. The dark alley interest gives you an indication of what you'll find inside: a dark - yet friendly bar appealing to all types of men.
The Bike Stop features three levels of entertainment. The ground level pays homeage to the leather types - with motorcycles hanging from the ceiling, a masculine and studly bar staff, and a wide selection of beers on tap. One level up, patrons of the Bike Shop will find a sports bar - with large screen TV's, and numerous smaller monitors broadcasting your favorite games. Pool tables and pin ball machines also provide entertainment for the sports minded. Sunday nights feature live bands - a unique form of entertainment for a gay bar.
And if you're looking for something a little more mysterious - the "Pit Stop" - which is known as the "epicenter of the Philadelphia gay leather world" -is housed in the lower level of this bar. Beware - sneakers and cologne are not permitted in the Pit Stop - so plan appropriately before coming out.
Found this bar on this site last night and decided to go check it out. It wasn't like some of the leather places in San Francisco that I've been to but overall it was a good time. The bartenders were friendly enough, drinks what you'd expect. Found a cub to my liking and showed him a good time in some of the more isolated corners of the bar. By: LeatherDad on October 8, 2011
